a few questions???

Hi everyone. I just had a few questions and was hoping to get some feedback.
1. I am taking 30 mg of oxycodone a day. I do not feel like this is enough because I still am in alot of pain, even with taking naproxen and skelaxin as well. What should I do? Doc doesn't want to increase my dose.
2. What do you know about pain patches. Is that something I should look into if the oxycodone isn't working?
3. I have a Bone scan on Thursday. What should I expect?
Thanks guys!
Krista

" I was on the duragestic patch for quite some time, and it worked pretty good, (or, fentanyl, the generic equivilent) I still had to take something for breakthrough pain. "

" Hi, I was on fentanyl patches for a couple of years. My biggest problem, they did not stick, well, even with tape and even with the overlay. If you are taking oxycodone, why not suggest oxycontin, a longer acting version of the same med you are on. Then you would only have to take med for breakthrough pain. In my opinion, it is hard to switch from one narcotic to the next. Even at the supposed equivalent dose. That is what I am going through right now, switching from the fentanyl patch to Opana ER. "
