well i bit the bullet and had the surgeryon the 4th july and when thay tell you it is not painfull!!!! dont believe them hahaha no no only funning but it is painfull at the min with the swelling ect but you must do the finger stretching no pain no gain when sleeping have to put it on a feather pillow as cannot get comfy? little finger really stiff so i do hope that it starts working in the nxt day or two well will keep you posted any questions just ask xx

I had both mine done, one in Nov last year and another in Feb of this year. I experienced little pain with 1st one, second was worse as the cts was worse, but nothing a couple pain pills didn't cure. the one hand still has more trouble than the other, it will spasm sometimes and my forearm does get tired some days. I keep massaging the hands and arms, and exercise the whole arms and that helps. i am sorry you had a painful time, hope you recover quickly. The splint thing they put on me on the L hand was way too tight and I finally took it off by day 3 so I wonder if that is another reason it hasn't healed as nicely as the 1st one. Remeber to massage the incison spot as soon as you can, even thru the stitches. I used coconut oil, I have seen recommendations for vitamin E oil....nonetheless...keep massaging to keep everything all stretchy and gets the inner fluid moving too for better healing.The scar on my R hand is barely noticeable whereas the other is still red.

II havent had it done yet but thinking about it. I have it in both hands but the left is fine now and has been for some time a few months ago I had pain in the right hand found out I also have nerve damage OUCH!!!!this thing wakes me up at night and at times just holding or lifting things are painful

I KNOW I NEED TO DO IT. MY LEFT HAND I HAVE 3 FINGERS THAT GO TOTALLY NUMB. AND THAT HAPPENS EVERYTIME I LAY DOWN AND TRY TO SLEEP. IF IT WORKS I'M VERY HAPPY FOR YOU.

Oh reading the newest post reminds me of all those nights my whole hand was so painful and my arm hurt like hell I could not even sleep. I had to prop the whole thing on a pillow, lay on my side and pray for death. Both my hands are hurting now from the arthritis but I have been doing a lot of things using the hands so I think that may be it. It seems to be better in the morning after I wake up but by mid day I am in pain. I need to go search out the motrin. Then I am going to bed, finish my book and sleep. Savannah is going to her moms for 2 days, I might go with my daughter to the base so I can shop at the commissary on Thursday. Anything to save some money. Better rest the arms then, pushing shopping carts for ages hurts too.
