I AM ALWAYS AMAZED HOW MUCH I AM HELP BY READING OTHERS WRITINGS. I LEARN SOMETHING EVERY DAY. YOU NEVER KNOW HOW YOU HELP OTHERS BY WHAT YOU WRITE. YOU MAY HELP SOMEONE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy05SYG9-LQ THE ABOVE IS A SITE WITH A SONG BY ABBA, I HAVE A DREAM/ I BELIEVE IN ANGELS. IT JUST REMINDED ME OF ALL MY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS. WELL HERE IT IS MONDAY AGAIN. THE START OF A NEW WEEK.. THE PAST WEEK HAS BEEN DIFFICULT AT DS. SUICIDE AND NEAR SUICIDES. THERE IS SO MUCH UNHAPPINESS AND LOSS OF HOPE. IT IS A TIME WE NEED TO HOLD EACH OTHER A LITTLE CLOSER. DOES EVERYBODY REMEMBER THOSE LITTLE PAPER CHAINS WE USED TO MAKE AT CHRISTMAS TIME TO HELP DECORATE THE TREE AND USE AROUND THE HOUSE? I HAVE SPENT HOURS MAKING THEM WHEN I WAS LITTLE AND WITH BETH AND SARAH. A VERY HAPPY MEMORY. WE ALWAYS MADE THEM IN MULTI COLORS. DS IS A LOT LIKE THOSE CHAINS TO ME. ONE LOOP JOINING ANOTHER MAKING A LOMGER CHAIN. WE SEND HUGS LINKING US TO OUR FRIENDS THEN THEY SEND HUGS TO OTHERS FORMING MORE CHAINS. IT IS A REALLY COOL THOUGHT.. I THINK EACH LINK INCREASES OUR STRENGTH WEITHER WE KNOW THE LINK OR NOT. I GO TO DISSCUSION POSTS AND READ THEM ALL THE TIME. I ALWAYS GO AWAY WITH A LITTLE MORE KNOWLEDGE. IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER IF I KNOW THE PERSON OR NOT. WE ALL LEARN FROM EACH OTHER WE HELP EACH OTHER EVERY DAY. IT IS A BLESSED THING. I SEND HUMONGOUS HUGS AND GOOD WISHES TO EVERY ONE. PASS ON YOUR LOVE AND CARE TO OTHERS. LOVE, KATHY Forward Posted on 07/21/08, 05:07 pm |

Kathy,
Well put. I, too, often come here just to read others' posts - to find out what's going on in their lives, to receive or offer encouragement, or just to know I'm not the only one going through all this. C.S. Lewis said, "We read to know we are not alone." Different context, but the sentiment sure rings true here. So know, all of you, that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I may not be going through the same thing as you, but I do know what it's like to be a stressed out, overburdened, too many plates in the air caregiver. And I'm here for you.

I need you all more than anything in the whole world. I am grateful for all the posts and friendships here. Well it's 10pm and I am just sitting down. Mom seems to be deflating. Her face is scrunchy & looks like she is in constant pain. Doctor cannot find anything major wrong. Mom says when she gets hungry she is very hungry and must eat immediately. I am always on call for her. I am having trouble with her decline. I look at her and want to fix whatever is wrong. I cannot. I must keep my eyes up and on happy things. Does anyone relate?

Yes, I agree! I amaze myself how much I know, then I realize where I learned it. Thank you everyone!
