Today, my oxygen supplier, brought me an Eclipse O2 unit to try for a couple of weeks, I am to use it for both in home Continuous, and portable Pulse supplemental oxygen. I would appreciate any and all comments, from you, of the pros and cons of this unit, that you have experienced or know about. Thanks for helping with this matter !

That unit is what I used when I went to the coast and when I went camping. I serves the purpose for overnight. It does not work for me when I am out and about because it is just to heavy to pull around when I am on my walks. If your are just going to use it for shopping or something like that it is a good unit. If you use the batteries they claim they last longer, however on 2L they lasted about 2 hours so you would need 2 or 3 batteries depending on how long you are going to be out and about. They also have made it so you can charge it with the cigarette lighter in your car. But caution, DO NOT leave it plugged in to a cig lighter with the car off as it will drain your battery.
I did really enjoy travelling as I could move it from car to motel easy and it really is pretty quiet for a portable concentrator, I think it is quieter than mine at home. It all depends on how much you want to go out. They will make you use that as portable also, more than likely. Good luck..

I have one of these (I call her "Ruby") She's great in that I can use her on Battery, ac or dc. We took a 700 mile trip and I never once worried about how a power source to make it run. I use it when I am able to go away for the weekend. I do have a problem with the weight of the unit. I cannot lift it in or out of my car myself. You cannot have a real long hose connected either. If you run it on pulse & do not inhale deep enough, it will "beep" It started to be a real pain in the butt when my traveling companions were always yelling for me to "Breathe". It will kick into continuous mode if it cannot detect an inhalation. If you do run on dc (Your car battery) always remember to turn it off before you turn off the car otherwise you'll drain your car battery & that's not fun. Have fun with it. I think you'll enjoy it. (and give it a cool name!) Patti

Thank you all for your replies ! Just getting aquainted with the unit after 2 days but will let you know my opinion later after more usage. I did take to super market for 2 hours and really was pleased with Pulse use. Pattiruf, you can use up to 50 feet tubing when using Continuos mode, but only 7 feet when in Pulse mode. If you have further comments, please share with me. Thanks again and BREATHE WELL !!!!

You're right about the tubing Sarge, and they are good little units. I want one for travelling and am looking for a used one. I just don't like to have to pull it for portability. My provider just quit using them and are going to an inogen and you can't sleep with those. So I want to buy one for travel. Good luck, I think you will like it.

After a week I agree with you both, the weight of the unit is the biggest negative!!! If used just as portable, I may be able to adjust to it? If used both in home and out then moving from in house to the car and back again about four times a week or more would be very difficult for me to look at for the long term usage ? I'll keep using till they give me my options and costs and make my decision then. I'll update you all then. Thanks for you help!!
