hello everyone we are still lost in a lot of ways y wife has had two bouts with being dizzy and nausea this has been about three weeks apart sis doing good to day she has low blood pressure to hope everyone is dog good

jee I had a bad day today , very emotionol. I really wanted to die and I wanted to leave my family because I had this rare feeling in my head that I could not understand.
Is this normal with cadasil or am I just depressed because of this awfull winter here in belgium? Oh I do not know but now I am feeling better and go to bed soon.

Hello, I just got my test back, I have cadasil. I had my first TIA at 29 a week after the birth of my last son. In the last year I have had at least 2 more tia's. This last one I had, I called the doctor and was told to go to the ER. I went only to have my blood presure taken and told to smile and then the doc asked me to squease his fingers. Then the doctor asked me what I wanted him to do....

ok I'm going to try again...not feeling that great today...mothers day was a bust. I told my kids all I wanted for mothers day was a clean house. I guess that was too much to ask for because when I got home from my 24 hour shift at work my house was trashed. My husband said he would take to dinner at 6 but he came home at 10... "trashed". Happy Mothers Day!

Its 2:48pm Central time and this is my first journal intry I am a Reverend My name is George and my wifes name is Janie she suffers from cadasil. She is going through the migrain faze right now it seems to come up on her all at once and then in about 5 to 10 minutes its gone. Last night though it lasted for about an hour. we have appt for 2/13/07 blood test they say it takes 19-21 days for this test i just hade to tell my brother inlaw about this and it was not easy i am feeling helpless can someone out there give me some hope

CADASIL Information

CADASIL (cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy) is the most common form of hereditary stroke disorder, and is thought to be caused by mutations of the Notch 3 gene on chromosome 19 (Joutel et al, 1996). The most common clinical manifestations are transient ischemic attacks or strokes, which usually occur between 40 and 50 years of age, although MRI is able to detect signs of the disease years prior to clinical manifestation of disease (Chabriat et al, 1995). The disease leads to death in approximately 20 years (Chabriat et al, 1995).
