" I took Adriamycin with Cytoxin in 4 dose dense(2 week) sessions starting March 6, 2006. I had severe nausea, so I was taking 6 different nausea meds to control it, but they worked. I had some stomach lining damage from the Adriamycin (found during an endoscopy following chemo)but a few months of Nexium fixed it. Otherwise, I had the standard side effects of yeast and ulcers, full hair loss, fatigue, etc. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like to know.

" I took Adriamycin with Cytoxin in four doses, 4 months, and yes sick to my stomach, but the meds for nausea worked well. The loss of my hair did not bother me as much as some. I got lots of rest after each dose that also helped me to get through the first few days of each dose.
It was my last four months of Taxotere that created some realy bad problems for me. "

" Adriamycin and Cytoxin made me very tired for about 5 days and also very weak. Had really good meds for nausea, still had dry heaves occasionally. Hair loss also. Still found this much easier on my system than the Taxotere. If I had a choice, I'd do the A/C anytime before Taxotere. "

" I took 4 rounds of adriamycin, and cytoxin. I was a little nausated but the medicine seemed to help alot. I wasn't nausated but for a few days after each treatment. I started losing my hair by the second treatment, and it was all out by the time I was through with my first 4 rounds of chemo. I am like SarahT, Taxotere was the worse for me. I had severe flu like symtoms. but they only lasted a few days after each treatment too. My worse side effects through the whole deal, were weakness and extreme tiredness. The shots helped with that alot also. "

" I had it with Cytoxan for four rounds also. I did well with the nausea with meds and diet change. I lost my hair completely, including eyelashes and eyebrows. I got permanent heart damage from the Adriamycin and Herceptin I took. That is a side effect to be aware of. Generally, you feel pretty lousy, but there's lots you can still do. I had a 4 year old, 2 year old and 8 month old and I was up every night with the baby, bringing them to the ER in the middle of the night, doing laundry and housework. Hope this helps "
