This is the email my stbx sent me after a month of no contact and my response. I decided to respond in a manner to let him know I was not being ugly and that I am done with us. Its interesting that he says he got rid of pictures. He didnt have any. Also why does he talk about dating again? And as for my son, they have never bonded. Was he trying to get a response from me? My friends say he wants me to chase him. Not happening. Was my response appropriate?

I will need you to sign them asap because I will be selling the house the next day. You take care of yourself also. Its all water under the bridge. Oh and I'll be 29 next week so no cracks about 30. In regard to his email (which you had asked about in your post), it sounds like in some ways he is trying to make himself sound the victim either to hurt you or in some way get some leverage on you emotionally. That's my best guess as to the nonsense about the pictures and the dating.

I wanted to tell him he was an idiot and the marriage was the worst thing Ive ever been through in my life and I hate him, but that would give him power over me again. If he would've been in this for the long run, he wouldnt have been with Lydia less than a month after the split and he would have agreed to counseling. He never agreed to counseling for us.

i'm glad that you could get through that, but he is a sorry excuse for a father, i won't call caleb because of you, i'll move out of the way for the next guy. what a jerk. sometimes a child is better off with just one parent, because this guy doesn't have any love for children. he needs to be sterilized.
