Hello! I am writing a book about happily divorced couples and how they can help others achieve or maintain a good relationship with your ex-spouse as well as keeping your children balanced and secure through a difficult time. My first divorce (yeah I am a two time loser)was pretty decent. We had the same lawyer. We exchanged the personal property fairly. I thought the monetary exchange was fair also. Although I had a ton of people tell me I should have and could have gotten more. I think that we both respected each other and wanted the best for our kids. We just grew apart.
This one is a whole different story. Not nice not happy. It will be an act of God if I get out of this one in one piece.

I'm not in this group due to a "happy divorce/breakup"..but I did have a very civil and friendly divorce with my former husband of 26 years. We are very good friends, go out occasionally...and are a united team for our son. He and I had a large age difference that did catch up to us, we were not only civil to each other..but very fair during the divorce process and since then. We exchange birthday and Christmas gifts, speak on the phone regularly and seek each others advice on a wide variety of matters. I respect him, he respects me and we care about each other. My recent ex...um..not so much.

Well now, obviously I didn't and don't want this divorce but I am doing my best to make it as amicable as possible. If only my STBX would stop playing freaking mind games with me it might work. He stopped by last night and wanted to have sex with me....because he is supposedly not having sex with the OW because...wait for it...she is still married and he is thinking about possibly being called as a witness in her divorce if it ever happens. He said there is a difference between her husband knowing STBX cares about OW and STBX fucking OW (he actually said "fucking" so I know this realtionship is a real winner). WTF? Get out of my house. Right about now I would be happy if he would just blow off the face of the earth. Fucktard. Oh yeah, good luck with your book.
