hey everybody,
on june 7, 2008 i had a stroke, which has left me in the hospital for the last month,
But now I am home typing one handed and learning to do things all over again.
it sucks to be 38 and to have had to deal with this, but Iam trying to sit back and let God take over. trust me easier said than done, but I am learning. I had to give up everything, including my house and my job. But by God I am alive. and I am also a month cigarette free. yeah for me!!!! just wanted to say hello....thanks

" Wow...38 is young for a stroke. Then again, I was 28 when I had my heart attack. It sure refocuses what is important in life, doesn't it? It sure gave me one heck of a shock....especially when I was loaded onto a Med Flight and taken to UVA hospital. I thought that I was a gonner! I have loaded people on the Med Flight from crashes and a lot of them don't make it. It is like being put in the back of a hurse. Very scary..

WHen they went to do my Cardio Cath they placed an AED between my ankles. I asked them what that was for and they said "We are working on your heart." I was pretty freaked out by that too!!! "
