Man... I've been doing the friday drop-off-to-dad for 5 ... long ... years. (Of course he hooked up right away with a nice lady, honest-no-kidding good girl, but that's beside the point.) And I feel like I have to look nice. Not hottie-nice, just stiff-upper-lip nice. And the thing was, I am used to being on the way to my boyfriends, rocking out to the radio on the way, getting my groove on. Well, the boyfriend dropped down a manhole into an abyss of his own making. I just walked into the house. It's heartbreakingly beautiful outside. I just don't want to go make the most of my evening alone. I have 4 dvd's. I'm going to make pasta, and then pocorn. Damn. 5 years.

I'm in a similar situation. My stbx is taking our daughter camping for the weekend. It will be just me and my dog - I'm renting some movies as well and packing to move.
