" I don't have much problem with child support except my wife wanted a divorce after doing a lot of extra work to pay outstanding medical bills. The extra pay made my child support payments higher. I think the child custody depends on cercumstances. I spent more quality time with kids while my ex liked to watch tv, play games on computer or nap. She gets the kid 6 days then I get them for 3 days. I feel I should get them at least 50%. I worked longer hours than her and yet spent more time with the children. The kids will remember who was there and supported them through school and other activities. I doesn't make it easy for me but have to live on for the kids. They are what matters for me. "

" I also would like to comment that we adopted our two kids from South Korea and if someone asked asked if I would done that after getting a divorce after 12yrs. I would say it was worth it. It has been real painful and hard for me but I wouldn't have the kids. If I could afford it, I would adopt again. However, I'm now divorced and getting too old to start another family. The kids what matters for me. It was real hard in getting them and I will always have no regrets just as long as they are there for me. They are there for me. "

" She has them for 6 days and I get them for 3 days. She got the house and I moved to a rental house. I have to pay $524/mo child support and pay 66% on any daycare and 66% on medical that insurance doesn't cover. There was a big mortgage on house and she wanted it. It was a big money pit. I left with very little and have to start all over. I just have to live with it and think about this day instead of yesterday or past "

" My X used her "oh I am such a scared, helpless, little woman" technique to have the police file a Restraining order on me. The Bastards didn't even check that no police reports of violence against me and there was no witnesses all she had to do is give a little cry and weave her lies. Mens rights are shit. My X punched me, but if I stood up and said that it would be laughed out of court. "

" I went through much the same thing, Sean, and I agree with much of what you said.

The legal system is all too quick to believe a woman if she alleges abuse. There are many men who are tainted with the stench of reckless and wilfully false allegations of abuse. "

" Courts give a woman consideration for being a homemaker. Recently I've seen a study saying a homemaker is worth $117,000. per year if there was a way to pay for the services.

The woman sometimes gets compensated for being a homemaker from her husbands earnings. Courts figure that it is deserved.

That given it makes me wonder. Why isnt a working man allowed to recieve an amount to replace the homemaker duties so as not to interfer with his employment?

His income is already being split, yet he is additionally expected to pick up the duties of an $117,000. a year job with no consideration for it from the courts.

I could come up with many more scenarios but I feel that you dont belong on this site. "
