If you're not familiar with them, they are poems that consist of three lines: The first line has 5 syllables. The second line has 7 syllables. And the Third and final one has 5 syllables again. Ooohhhh, a friend at work (who is also a transplanted southern-fried redneck) and I love to make redneck haikus. My favorite, when I saw a very hefty gent in shorts and a wifebeater sportin' a mullet buying the paper one Sunday morning when it was about 10 below:
