So I had to get some cavities filled yesterday and went to a sedation dentist, since I don't handle pain all that well. Spent yesterday in a zonked out haze and couldn't stop dreaming about the stbx. I'm so good at warding off those dreams normally, I really have gotten them completely out of my mind, but with the drugs it was like I had no defense. They just kept being about me begging him to come back, over and over.
I don't get it. I don't want this divorce to have happened, but I do believe that I could never take him back if he asked, after he's tried so hard to leave me with nothing, not to mention treat me like a gigantic burden for the last 5 years. Why oh why can't my dreams catch up with my brain?? ps- I'm swollen and look like a chipmunk. Posted on 05/17/08, 10:05 am |

Gosh, I probably shouldn't say this but..... I left my office on August 16, 2007, a married woman, to go to the dentist. While I was out, the lover of a married employee called my office to tell me that my ex (our office manager) and this married whore were having an affair. The call came in, chaos ensued at the office (I was at the dentist, remember) since my ex & the whore both worked there & everyone got upset, and I didn't knwo anything until I got out of the dentist's office & went to my car where I had a strange message form ex that I had to call him immediately or he would keep ringing. I was very concerned. Before I could dial him, he called & 'confessed' the affair to me. (Yes, his story is that he is a stand-up guy, he confessed cuz he said he wanted me to hear it from him -- LOL! I was gonna find out as soon as I got back to the office!). So I get back to the office a little before noon, & there is one lone employee left standing, my ex told her she could leave before I returned but she said she didn't want me to come back to an empty business.
Now THAT was a trip to the dentist! Follow-up visits to the dentist were excruciating, some sort of PTSD symptoms or something. Hope I will recover, but right now I have fear of going to the dentist. BTW, that dentist ahd put a titanium implant ina back tooth area. I brokem the titaniaum. I am now in dental journals. It si supposed to be impossible to break titanium, I can't tll you waht an uproar that caused! Seriously, my tooth is shown at seminars now, lol. Well, I know how it broke even if the forensic people never could figure it out - STRESS and UPSET!!!!

I really should not have hi-jacked this thread with my story.
Dreams are amazing. amzingly bad adn amzingly good. I try to pay attention to my dreams, as i beleive they are indicators of what is going on inside of you. One thing I have been told over & over here at DS is that it takes WAY longer to heal form a marriage than I ever thought it would. Maybe use the dream as a tool to help you see where to do some more work in your healing?

faerla......hope your swelling goes down soon and sorry to hear about your rotten dreams. I was doing well lately too keeping those horrible dreams at bay, but then just recently I've been getting tormented again by them.

What is it with dentists and breakups? I remember having to have 2 teeth pulled during the worst of all the stuff going on with my ex.
I haven't gone back to the dentist since, and it's been over a year. Hmmm... never made that connection before!
