Yesterday I was checking out my teen son's myspace page...just making sure nothing was going on that I needed to be aware of...there were some silly messages from some girls but then I got to feb. His dad sent him a message. Now whatever communication they have is between them (dad hasn't seen or talked to the kids since 12/31/07) but in this message EX actually had the nerve to tell son that he bought a new 4-wheeler for son TO RIDE. He has only exercised visitation BY CHOICE once since we were separated in Feb 2007! When is son supposed to RIDE this thing?? And he refuses to give son back the dirt bike that he got for his birthday in 2005. I had NO IDEA about this message and asked son about it...he laughed and told me that he never responded and actually meant to delete it. He told me that he found it funny that his dad bought a 4-wheeler for him TO RIDE while my bf bought a 4-wheeler for son TO OWN. I asked if he was going to tell his dad about his new 4-wheeler and son told me that he wasn't...that his dad wasn't worth it.
How sad is that??? I checked daughter's myspace site too and she has gotten no messages from dad, false promises or not. Posted on 05/16/08, 06:05 pm |

Maybe you can convince your ex to go riding, without a helmet, in a really rocky area and tell him you're timing him and if he goes really fast you'll give him a prize.

It's sad that your kids haven't heard from him but at the same time they may be better off. Your BF sounds like a really good guy and that's the kind of male attention they need-you know-from an "adult"! Your X isn't fooling anyone, especially your kids. I see it as only a benefit to you and your kids that he's making no effort. ps) I totally agree w/ Solong!!LOL

WOW that is really sad that he chooses to hurt his kids like that. Maybe he doesnt realize just cause their teens their feelings can still be hurt. Thank God they have a good mom there for them.

My ex made promises that he broke all the time too. He never cared for the kids either, even though now he calls to check on them. I don't tell him much of anything though. Thank goodness he is married and lives down in Texas. He was never a father to his kids anyhow. I have pretty much raised all 8 of my kids by myself, even when we were together. He's the one missing out but we are better for it.
