I'm off to meet with a "Legal Document Specialist". She is not an attorney, but knows the process and files all of the necessary documents. I really don't know what to expect. My husband has promised to be reasonable and with the exception of the house, my 2 horses, and 2 dogs, the rest is all just stuff to me. The only thing I'm willing to fight over is the house and living arrangements for me an our daughter.
I'm really nervous. I don't really have anyone to share this with. I figure I have to do something legal ASAP since my husband has already purchased a $13,000 motorcycle that he has no intention of using for commuting on, it's merely for weekend rides. I can't afford any more of his impulse buys, they've already cost us too much. Wish me luck and please put out a few prayers of strength and courage. My stbx has a spending addiction and has put us in a very bad place.I just got off the phone with our mortgage company as we needed a new mortgage on the property I live on.It has a line of credit only available to him and that could do irrepuable damage for me.Mine can't be trusted and I married mine young and it is a long term marriage too. Just make sure you have yourself covered.My lawyer has had to freeze alot of accts and credit lines to save me grief down the road.Hope your "legal document specialist can freeze "accts" like an attorny can Good luck!!!
