Speech Therapy

Thank you for the advice I got to get hubby in to see a speech Therepist. He had his first cognitive appt on Wednesday. I thought that speech therapy was to help him with memory and talking type of stuff. Boy I am so glad I took him. He didn't want to go. He thought that it was stupid and that nothing is wrong with him. It was so informative and gave him some ideas that he can grasp. Questionaires that he fills out help him see that something is in fact wrong with him. Today we went to the store and purchased him a notebook to make a long list of things he wants to do. Every night he will pick 5 or less items to put on his to do list. She wants him to begin things to help him make decisions and remember things he needs to do. He has come so far already, but we are working on anger and thinking before he speaks. All these are things that I have seen sugested here on DS also and have attempted to do with him before. Maybe he will do it as Dr. has sugested.
