Hi everyone, my name is Jeff. I'm 32 year-old male and found out last week after a trip to the ER and a MRI that the brain tumor I developed in 2006 has grown. In fact it grown so much that it grew form one side of the brain to the other. I could not get an appointment right away with my oncologist so that’s why I had to go to the ER. I pretty much new something was up because my left side of my body was acting up (less movement) I have had so many brain tumors since 1984 this pretty much makes the 7th or 8th one if you count the ones that would die and grow back. I currently live in Topeka, KS and there are no brain tumor support groups in my area that I found so I'm going to try this. I do not know anyone who has a brain tumor and I feel so alone and depressed all the time. There are times where I feel like giving up and wish I would just die and other times where I want to fight. I have family and friends who can listen, but that is about it, no one who can understand what I'm going through. I just started Temodar on Monday the 15th and I not sure about it yet. I seem so tired all the time and I have no energy and I’m not sure if it is the mediation or the tumor. I’m half way through the first treatment I have Thursday (today) and Friday and that is it for the month. I’m not really sure what else to tell you about me. I am pretty shy and have a hard time talking about myself so I not sure what else to say, but if anyone has any questions for me please feel free and ask. I can answer questions better than give information.

Hello Jeffery, I am so sorry to hear about your tumor. I can relate to how you feel, although mine was removed and was benign I have alot to be thankful for. There are so many days I feel down still, my family is great support but they say I need to look at the bright side of things. I just feel tired all the time I am on seizure medicine and i always have thoughts of another tumor coning back. Having brain surgery is such a major trauma to go thru. I wanted you to know there are otheres that know how you feel, I hope you have better days and wish you the best.

Hey Jeffrey,
I am sorry to hear your news. Hang in there and keep posting on here if you need to. I don't know about others on here, but my left side is weaker than my right and sometimes my balance is off, especially on stairs. I've decided to stay as positive as I can and laugh at myself and for me that really helps. I also have a lack of energy and currently I am not on medication, but I am not sure if that's the tumour or a psychological effect of having it. (Like a depression of sorts). The more I try to find out, the more I see Doctors don't know so I just accept it and try ro enjoy life as much as I can. I don't know if any of this helps, but you are definitely not alone. All the best
