Hi all. In the report of my last MRI there was a comment that said "moderate frontal lobe atrophy". I've googled this and the results are scary. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

" The neurologist that ordered the MRI didnt' say anything. He was checking me for lesions/MS. The report stated "no lesions...However, moderate frontal parietal atrophy is noted". I asked my GP when he was reading the report and he is the one that told me that it meant the front lobe of my brain was dying. The neurologist is also the same one that has known for years that I had a pituatary tumor and hadn't told me that until now. "

" My father died of PICKS disease last year which is a common diagnosis for someone with just frontal lobe atrophy. Get a good neurologist to take a look into this disease it will be very important to your future care. Do you crave sugar? Have picky eating habits? Have OCD tendencies? Did you have a thorough CT Scan of your entire Central Nervous System? PICKS is hard to diagnose, and you want to rule out everything else and have a biopsy of the atrophied areas to have your Protein Tau levels checked to confirm PICKS. Hope everything turns out well.
