Hey all,
I just have the baby benign tumor in the mengingioma, but I was wondering I have been having unusual sharp pains in that portion of the head where the tumor is and it kinda freaked me out today. They still haven't let up. My head kinda feels all huge and floaty. I finally took some extra strength Tylenol. It is dull now. Oh, one more thing, I can't seem to think very well. I am short with the family. Of course it is really bad pain or I wouldn't even mention it. I also have fibro, so I am used to pain. The surgeon did question me a month ago about pain in that area and I told him no. I did not have any pains then. So obviously, I am answering my own question, I will call him. But, can anyone tell me what the pains mean other than something isn't right. Posted on 05/13/08, 09:05 pm |

Hi
When i had my Meningioma I did get quite bad headaches, but I cannot remember if the pain was where the tumour was because at the time i did not know i had the tumour. I can definately say i had problems with not being able to think properly, and would get confused very easily, my personality was all over the place. You should speak to your surgeon. Hope this helps a little. Take Care Tracey

Thanks,
I will call. This morning I have a dull headache. I know some of this is sinus again. I actualy have adrenal fatigue. Just recently found out for sure as my chiro suggested this and I bought a book concerning this written by another doctor. Being fatigued I tend to get one sihus infection after another and I swear I have had a sinus headache for months. I am actually excited about the book, as I can stop the madness I have been living the past 3-4 years. IF, I can successfully treat myself. The book is great in identifying and hopefully correcting the situaiton. I have not got to the healing process yet. I can assure you though it would be great if I can actually stop smoking. I am getting closer to my goal. Thanks for replying.

Hi,
There could be many reasons for the pain, but the tumor is suspect since the pain is where the tumor is. Such a small tumor can cause the pain depending on where it is and if it is compressing nerves or putting pressure on other critical areas. One thing you could try is to take one shoe off and walk around for 5 minutes. The put the missing shoe on and take the other one off and walk around for 5 more minutes. This is a technique used for decompressing the spine, which ultimately relieves pressure on the brain. I wish you well and hope the pain goes away. But do talk with your neurologist.

Thanks for the tip of taking the shoes off. I will try it as soon as I get back from the nursery. I am thinking it could be stress and I am going to take some time for enoying life. Going to get some more plants for my garden.
