My Menigioma was in the right frontal lobe and the size of a baseball! The operation went very well, the removed the whole tumor and I was home in 2 days.Do your research on hospitals & surgeons.Ihad mine done at Thomas Jefferson Univ in Philadelphia.Ask if you can talk to some of their patients who had the same operation. This might ease your anxiety.Don't know where

Don't know where this person's partner had their operation but not is not usually the case if you are at a reputatable hospital.Menigioma are quite common.

Hi, I just joined this group a few minutes ago. I was diagnosed with Meningioma in early January 08. I'm scared too. Doc says it is benign. Will have another MRI in July, if it's growing then we'll do something about it.
I was surprised to find out I had brain tumor, no symptoms that I knew of, other than had started falling in Nov, 07. Don't really know what to expect. Am sleepy and can nod off any time.
Have to keep up hope and faith in God that he'll take care of me, He has all these years.

A benign meningioma tumor is like winning the lottery of tumors. As I understand benign it is non cancerous. most are removable depending on placement and,how definable the borders are. My operation was on may 2007. I am now waiting to be accomodated by my employer.

I have been diagnosed and am waiting for 1. a second opinion
2. time for the second MRI
I really don't understand the situation, but as far as I am concerned it was just found within the last 3 months and no one knows where it came from and how fast it is growing, so I am not anxious to have the operation. I really don't have much to help you with, but fire away. It might help to discuss the situation.
