Body swelling

My Dad is going through chemo and radiation, and his whole body is swelling. He is on diuretics, but he is continuiing to swell. His feet are cracking open, bleeding, and can hardly walk.
Is this normal?? Is there anything he can do to help the swelling besides diuretics? Has anyone else had the problem of the whole body swelling?
Any info. or advice would be appreciated.
Mary

" Mary,
I think you should call the doctor. Sometimes they have to be hospitalized when the swelling is severe.
