Just came out of a rapid cycle freakfest after my pdoc adjusted my meds, so I feel for you. As far as advice, can't give alot. I got to the point where I just had to reach out for some help, battling something at the time that was bigger than me.

I had an electric change when my meds were cut.It was amazing yet scary.I began thinking that I'm either going totally AWOL again or...just changing for the better.
I am sure that your life is far more important than the current indications. We are at our most self-critical when we are vulnerable in mood. When we cycle it's impossible to find yr footing. So it's easier beating on yourself. I too was torn between loving and hating the closest to me. It will get better but like most things in BP...you have to 'earn' the right to advance. It's worth it. Peace.

Strum I'm adding that to my quotable, "We are at our most self-critical when we are vulnerable in mood."
Beautiful, kudos.

Thanks. It feels odd being able to try and put crap times into words.
It isn't a good period to remember. Seemingly endless.Swearing and beating on ourselves. I think that's why we are sensitive to the needs of others.Because we sense those small but significant changes in the moods of others. So we ask 'You okay ? The sane don't deserve us !! hahaha BUT they SO do. AND they want you around. They may not be as vocal as we'd like..but they do. :)

I know exactly what you mean LOST, I rapid cycle also. It scares me sometimes, but hey my Mom finally got it after spending a day with me. My pets keep me going....The worst part is it usually gets me in trouble too...I have a big mouth. Once I start I don't stop if I am unloading on someone.

I usually rapid cycle on a small scale...
but last spring it got out of control--my highs were totally euphoric and my lows were dangerously suicidal. for me, a med adjustment was desperately needed. beyond that, sometimes meditation helps me to get to the very center of myself and out of my mood swings.

I rapid cycle, too, and I've been going through it lately. I'll yearn to be close to people, then want them to get off my back. What's gotten me through is faith, remembering that these crazy swings aren't real, they're creations of my mind.

Other than staying close to your pdoc and following their advice medically, the only thing I can suggest is uniformity in your schedule. Very little variance in routine may help.
