My daughter and her boyfriend were supposed to be with me for one month. It's now been four. I'm slipping into depression and very stressed. I'm not looking for emotional support here. I'm looking for great, horror stories of people who have come to stay with you, and wouldnt leave. You know, those parasites who sucked you dry. Here's your chance to vent, roll out your stories, but some humor in the telling would be nice.
One, two, three, GO!

" Well, I can't say I've had that experience, but I did see a horror movie on Turner Classic Movies yesterday morning called "A Bucket of Blood" from 1959. It was about this artist who was killing these people and making them in to clay statues. I never got to find out why he was doing it. But I know he was getting rid of them, in a way. By the way, I wouldn't recommend doing this. The guy went fully bananas in the end and hung himself. "

" lol shtiya, how does this relate to house guests?

Never really had the experience either, although I'm not too crazy about having house guests, it ruins my routine (wait a minute, I said in an other post that I hate routines...) anyway and I hate that they leave their stuff lying around all over the place. It's not their fault though, after all it's not their house so they have nowhere to put their stuff. "

" Sorry. It came to mind when he was talking about getting rid of house guests. :) I'm not a big fan of having house guests, myself. "

" About 6 and a half years ago my parner and I allowed my adult son, his adult girlfriend, her 4 year old daughter and the positive pregnancy test move into our already full (another daughter and 2 year old). Things went well, for a time and then my son wrecked his sister's 2 cars, refused to get a job and they both slept all day, every day, waking only to eat the meals I cooked and drink the juices and teas I made.

I began stressing then and my loving, sweet partner solved the crisis for me------he bought 10 acres of land with a house on it, moved me into it and all was well again. "

" Using blood and body parts to create art--interesting idea, shitya. You'll deny any knowledge if they come around asking any questions, right? "

" You could tell them they have a month to get their own place. That's plenty long enough to get a job, a downpayment and a deposit for the utilities... espescially if they're living for free.

I had a roomate once who brought over his brother. Fine, guys down on his luck blah blah. SIX MONTHS LATER and tons of money spent on food, extra electric because he was a gamer and annoyances like he refused to wash any laundry... I kicked him out.

Told my roommate that he didn't have to be part of it, but he agreed that his brother had to go. We gave him a month. He refused to leave so we called the cops on him.

Sounds harsh, but hell, we gave him a chance. It's not like we called the cops on him without him knowing thats what we were going to do.

I see him around town now and then, he's gotten over it. "

" My sister and her boyfriend moved in in May, for a couple of weeks to give them time to find a new place. Things were going well for the first few days but then......

My sister drank most of the highly expensive coffee I have shipped from Florida, all the kool-aid, and ate all the frozen pizzas.

Her boyfriend does not know how to clean up the sink after dulling out the razor on my only razor, leaving me with dozens of little nics on my legs as no one told me the razor was dull.

Between the two of them, ages 28 and 31, they can not figure out how to use the washing machine or dryer until the load I started is finished washing, they accomplish this by putting my clean laundry in the basket with the rest of my dirty clothes and using the machines. Is it really that hard to put my clothes in the dryer?

And the washing machine or dishwasher work great when I am getting ready to take a bath, and have announced my intent. Then they wait until I have started running the bath water to start one of the machines stealing all of the hot water, resulting in my bath becoming colder than the Bearing Sea in winter.

They jimmied the lock on my bedroom door and dug through everything I own to find the last of my cigarettes while I was on the phone trying to help them find a new apartment. They managed to break my zippo lighter, the only thing I had to remember my dead grandfather.

The last straw was when the boyfriend jimmied the lock on the bathroom door and came in while I was showering. He used the toilet and flushed, burning the tar out of my back as I stood in the shower hiding behind the shower curtain, and praying he could not see me.

I have gone to so many different places trying to find their dream home, I decided it would just be better if I moved. So they have my home and I have the couch at my best friends house. "
