Anyone on this combination, or the Lamictal-Geodon combo? I was recently diagnosed bipolar after a stream of other diagnoses and the Geodon was left over from earlier treatment but I am staying on it for now but wondering about how it interacts with the other drugs. Any insight would be appreciated!

" I am on the combination of lamictal, geodon and wellbutrin. I started on lamictal and geodon and wellbutrin was added after a trip to the hospital. When I was in the hospital they started me on effexor but I didn't like the side effects. My doctor switched me to wellbutrin. That helped for 2 weeks, then I crashed again, having suicidal thoughts again. I called my Dr.s office and he hasn;t got back to me, it's been a week since I left the message, I could be dead already. So I increased my dosage myself and i am feeling much better. thats probably what he is going to do anyway. "

" I used to the Geodon and Lamictal. I didn't see any negative drug interactions with the combo. I did find something that worked better at controlling mood swings than the Geodon did, for me anyway; after my last trip to the hospital I couldn't deal with the depression any longer so we tapered of the Geodon and added something else. I would never give up my Lamictal, but that's just me because I have had no side effects with it.

Good luck to you in finding the right med combo. "
