I am sitting at home, depressed as hell for unknown reasons except a chemical imbalance. I have realized though that suicide is inevitable for some people. I believe I might be on of them.

" Oh i wish i could give u a hug right now, the thing to remember is that this feeling too will pass. I have been there many many times, it almost became a permanent state and shared your 'inevitability' view but i have gotten a bit better and can NOW see that there are other options, this after almost 20 yrs of being suicidal. Its the most difficult thing in the world to overcome and banish the thoughts but you can do it, i know you can J. xx "

" Do you have a hotline you could call? So it's a real person that is unbiased. Try to think of what it would do to all around you. I've tried a couple of times and if I talk I feel a little better, I haven't thought about it in a while now. Keep talking to us.

" I have experienced that kind of hopelessness, and the lure of suicidal ideation as a comfort measure. I learned I had to plant a safety command in my mind that says if things get to a certain point (you have to determine what that is for you), I will call a friend, 911, or go to the ER. Even better is not to let it get that far and call your pdoc when you feel yourself slipping into the abyss. "

" PLEASE DON'T DO ANYTHING TO HARM YOURSELF! Think of the people you will leave behind that will suffer. You ARE strong enough to get through this. If necessary go to an ER for some sedation. Call someone, do anything BUT hurt yourself. Messageme your phone number and I will call and talk to you on the phone if you want. I'm praying for you! "

" NO, NO, NO, Kim, this is not what the REAL you wants. This is a chemical imbalance talking. You are a bright, vivacious, intellectual woman with many interests, and SO MUCH to live for!!! I know you may not believe this in the midst of your current state, but if you are still feeling this way for much longer, PLEASE go to the local psyche ward/ER, where you can have your medications adjusted, be monitored, and be in a protected environment (I have had to do this myself, on more than a few occasions; it takes awhile to find the right "psychotropic cocktail" for you. I want and need you as a friend; please don't harm yourself; hang in there, in any way you can.
Love & Hugs, Alexis "

" LoonyTune81,

Hi, I am Dreamingtree and have been in hospital as a result of suicide attempts. I want you to know that the pain you are feeling is distorted and you have so much to offer to others and yourself. Please let this pain move away from you and I promise it will. Please get into a local support group to connect with others personally one on one. I am here to help. We all are here. Go to a hospital or call for emergency if you do not feel better tonight. You do not want to die. I have had some really bad experiences w/ my meds lately. That may be only it right now. Tomorrow the sun will come up and you will be happy it did. "

" Kim, suicide is NOT INEVITABLE. If that were true there would be very, very few of us here to try and help you through this difficult time, myself included.

Most of us have been in tht deep dark abyss with you at one time or another, and some of us are there at this very moment. But somehow we find the strength, the guts, the determination to take that next breath. Whatever your mmotivation, dig down deep to find it. That one cause that makes you want to keepp on breathing. To see that next sunrise.

I know you have it in you, or you wouldn' be on here asking fo help. You really don't want to die. You just want the painn to stop. You need those tears to stop flowing. We can all identify with that on a very deep level. I am at that point myself, and have been for the past week or so. I just have to remind myself to take that next breath, and that this too shall pass.

Good luck to you. Just keep taking that next breath. They will start coming without you thinking about them. "
