i've been on abilify varying dosages for the past 3 years, i dont' ever recall that side affect. however, your best bet is to call your pharmacist and/or your pdoc. swelling such as that especially in the summer must be very uncomfortable. if you find out its a side effect that goes away, then you won't need to worry, but if its going to continue to be bothersome you may want to consider changing meds. but thats up to you and your pdoc. good luck to you!

Thanks for reply....doc thinks it may be the seroquel and the heat. He gave me lasix and potassium so we'll see.

I've been on abilify almost a year and haven't had any similar side effect either I do tend to rapid cycle a little bit more but do well overall

The first day I took lithium my face was badly swollen. Especially my eyes. I had to ice my right eye for three hours before I was able to see through it. MY face and hands are still swollen when I wake up in the morning.

never had that reaction to it but it always made my stomach hurt so i got off it. Hope u feel better. all the pharmacist and ask their opinion Hope u feel better ((HUGS))

I had a friend who swelled up on Abilify. Her legs mostly swelled up.

Thank all. KnowIknow...I had the same on lithium went right off of it. It is just my legs and especially my feet. A little better today after lasic and potassium for a day.

I just started taking abilify so I looked it up on the net. I always do when I am prescribed and meds. I think I read that swelling was a major concern/side effect. Call your pdoc.
