I know this isn't to do with bipolar, but wasn't sure if anyone here had been put on this medication. This is my background (also I use this board because my partner is Bipolar 2 mixed/rapid).
Has/Is anyone taking this? Under times of stress I get psychotic thoughts, whereby I see a normal event change into something horrible, ie my daughter crossing the road could lead me to see her getting run over, its graphic and horrific and before I realise i'm doing it, its too late. I've never been diagnosed with anything but am going through a stressful period at the moment. The doctors put me on flupenthixol/fluanxol, 0.5mg three times a day. It has helped with the anxious thoughts, and i'm finding day to day life easier. But I have put on loads of weight, and am getting bad nightmares. Just wondering if these symptoms will stop as I get more used to them. I'm in my second month. Posted on 03/31/08, 02:03 am |
