A couple of years ago I moved to Iowa with my boyfriend. We broke up a couple of months ago and I had to move to a new town to live in HUD housing, since I am on disability and they didn't have housing in the town we lived in.
Well here I am stuck in this small town, I literally do not know one single person. I have been in this apartment for 2 months, just sitting here, painting a bit but mostly just... sitting. I am so lonely right now, I am dying. I feel so unworthy of anyone loving me that I cannot even stand the thought of going out and trying to meet someone else. I hate sleeping by myself, I hate living by myself, I hate this. I even emailed my asshole alcoholic ex out of desperation, I am so pathetic. I am so fucking sad, I don't even know what to do. I think you need to find some girlfriends who are single so that you all can help to give each more self esteem. Maybe do some male bashing among each other. If thats you in your avatar you have nothing to worry about but your own attitude towards yourself. I would just forget about Men for now and do something fun. Do for yourself for now. Once you have pride in yourself and realize that no one in the World is any better than you I think the boys will come running.

Thanks guys for your replies. I am in therapy and have a doctor, I am on lots of meds. :p All my family lives in Texas and none of them have room for me to live. I am pretty much stuck here until I can afford to go home to Texas.
I have actually considered checking myself into the mental hospital just so I can meet people. I don't know how to meet people, I am really shy. Any suggestions?

you mentioned your ex is an alcoholic.... this is just a thought... why not find out where the al anon meetings are... you qualify...
there are always some good people at the al anon meetings... and it would give you people whom you have something in common with... good luck to you....if at any time you need to talk to someone, contact me.... and listen, most i mportantly..dont give up on yourself
