I just lost my daddy on June 16th, a week ago today, we buried him Monday and I had to get up Tuesday morning and start decorating for my daughter Bethney's wedding, she got married last night, everything was beautiful, just like my daddy would have wanted, now that the wedding is over, the grief has set in. I pray everyday for strenght and yes I get through each day, but the hurt is so BAD. There is this empty feeling in my heart, I feel numb inside. I miss my daddy so much. I need some help!!!

I'm so very, very sorry....how hard for you to have to deal with your daughter's wedding on top of his passing. No wonder you feel numb. I always say there is dust on my heart since my Mom passed....and, of course, the big empty place that used to be her. But I truly know she is so happy and out of pain and sorrow and even though I am so very sad, I am determined to not wish her back to the hell she was in, and to look forward to the day when I see her again. This missing her is so much worse than I could have ever known. I'm sure that's true for you, too. We must all hang together. Keep writing us!
