I just wanted to get feed back from any of you that live in constant pain and still hold a job and or a family.As for me its getting more and more difficult for me.The pain is interfearing with every part of my life.I have been married for ten years and we hav two little girls that i love deeply and i also have to work at my job witch I do home loans.My problem is that i hurt so bad that i cant do things as well as i used to and its starting to show in all areas of my life.The pain is also messing with my mind.I wake in the morning and its likr the life is just gone i take my pain pills then get to the shower and let hot water run on my back till its cold then try to go to work and I am not the same use to do so well here and now i hardley make it.Im slelf employed and have no ins. i just do not know what to do im lost and affraid.I take a antideppresant and am on lots of pain pills but dam i cant hardely see how im gonna keep working and be able to raise a family.

Sorry i cant answer your question i myself havent worked in 6 years. Hubby for one wont let me cause i would be hurting so bad by the time i came home i could not do my housework.
I would give anything to return to work and i am hopeing this surgery i had 3 months ago doe the trick. Good luck to you!

Sorry to hear it das, it's just an inevitable about back pain unfortunately. Bad things happen to good people and all we can do is find ways to manage it and/or improve it.
I wanted to ask what is your condition, which discs are affected and when did you r back pain first begin?

Hey there:
Read my journal. Most of the entries are me struggling with being a single parent, having 2 mortgages on my house, working a 60-70 hour per week job, having MULTIPLE medical problems (read the "about me" in my profile) and having massive back problems. The photo in my profile is one of the many back surgeries i've had. On august 19th i'm going in for an artificial disc replacment. Right now I have fractured vertabrae and ruptured discs and i'm still working. My kids dad has been gone for many years, my parents passed away when I was a child, I have no siblings and have no friends in my state. When I go into the hospital in august, my kids will go into foster care temporarily because i have no one to watch them. There is a good chance my house may go into foreclosure. There are days that I hurt so bad I have tears rolling down my face as I force myself to do my job. My body rejects all pain meds (everyone of them make me vomit violently) so I cant take anything at all for the pain. Believe me, if I can do it anyone can. As I see it we all have 2 options - go on or give up. I refuse to give up.
