My son , takes singulair and it has helped him very much and I haven't noticed any side effects with him. I myself take Nasonex daily and I haven't noticed any side effects. I did try Astelin and did not like it it burned my nose, and gave me nose bleeds, and had a terrible after taste.

Hi. My son, who's 2, has been taking Singulair since he was diagnosed with asthma back in January. The only thing we noticed was in the beginning(first 2 weeks I'd say) was that he was alot more hyper than usual. Now he's back to his normal self. It's made a WORLD of difference to his asthma. He has only had 1 really bad episode since January, which before being diagnosed, it seemed like he was having them weekly. He takes 4mg every night before bed and then has an albuterol nebulizer if he needs it, but he hasn't needed that since March.

I take Singular and it does seem to help me. I also take Albuterol inhaler really helps me when I am congested. I was diagnosed with moderat asthma a few years ago. This year is my worst year. I am allergic to ragwee, mold, mildew, animal dander, and dust. I also use Nasonex which helps. Good luck. Brena

they tried singular on top of my sons Advair to stop a flair up a couple months ago. My son would get loopy and drowsy after taking the singular. When I told the Dr about this, he immediatly took him off of it. Apperently this isnt a normal side effect!

I also was just prescribed singular yesterday from my pulmonary specialist. I am also afraid to take new meds. I hope it works for you and you don't get adverse reactions from it.

I take it for my asthma. The only side effect they said I might have was a headache, so I take it before bed. But even staying awake, I don't have headaches. It doesn't help my allergies much though. I end up taking Clarinex.
