I had some relief from my allergies when the asthma wasn't bothering me as much. Wondered if allergies get better once asthma is under control.
Would appreciate any info. I am newly diagnosed(2 weeks ago) and overwhelmed by it all. Thanks Sue Posted on 09/04/08, 01:09 pm |

hi sue...
sorry about your recent diagnosis. it does take some getting used to. you should find that ocne your asthma is under control then you maybe get more relief from your allergies. you will be able to take some meds for your allergies which should help. if you ahve any questions just ask. olive

new to this board-- Thanks for the answer I am really hoping the allergies get a little better once the asthma gets under control. I also wondered if the allergies get better on their own with out treatment once the asthma is controlled.
I don't understand it all, because the asthma seems to make the allergies more sensitive and trigers/allergens make the asthma worse

um.. it is a bit of a vicious curcle sometimes. the allergies make the asthma bad and the asthma makes the alergies bad.
everyone is different sometimes people allergies will get better with avoidance and with stable asthma but some peopel have such bad allergies that htye need meds to control the allergies whihc will then let they asthma become more stable. olive
