I have Osteo. I have had it since I was 17. I'm 48 and yes I am tired of achy knees, pain, joints freezing up etc. About a month ago I was have a hard time My knee froze up. I couldn't even get it to bend at all. Of course my Dr. didn't have room to see me. I went to urgent care. It was horrible to say the least. I'm sitting there and the Dr is saying "well lets not jump to conclusions. How do you know you have arthritis?" He says this as he is trying to force my knee to bend. He looks up as I scream in pain. I had tears pouring down my face. The Dr. look wide eyed at me and says. "Oh, Do you want something for the pain?" I wanted to say, "I certainly do now." Well, after a cortisone shot and a shot for pain I feel much better.

Sounds like that doc was really rough! Shame on him. I'm glad you got a shot for pain. Did he ever tell you exactly what was going on with that knee? Is this something that is going to happen again? I hope you are planning on seeing your doc for a follow up. Do you see an Osteopath, your GP or a knee specialist? I ask because I had some trouble with my left knee two years ago. It blew up and hurt so bad I was on crutches for 6 months and I didn't do anything to it, sigh. It can all be so confusing. Hope you feel better...hugs jilly

HELLO, MY NAME IS WILDTHING i wanted to share something with everyone here, doctors don,t have a clue to hoew much pain were in, alot bgelieve it,s all in our head, a simple bloood test can tetermine what kind of arthritis u have, if they would just take the time to do it, they just give u a quick fix, it is very painful, i was on methtriate and enbrel shots, which shot my liver up the roof, my rheumotoid doctor wants me to restart them, so i have a choice be crippled or take the medicine, my liver has already blocked up twice, darn near killed me, any kind of medication u take over a long period of time, can cause liver kidney and even heart problems, especially insaids, like naprosyn ibrofen, tylenol, etc, anything for inflammation, i JUST WANTED EVERYONE TO HANG IN THERE, AND DON,T GIVE UP, I KNOW IT CAN WEAR U OUT MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY, i used to love to dance, i still dance just not as much, and i always dance in my heart cause i know their are people here who really support me and care, LOVE, WILDTHING!

SO SORRY HON, WHEN I FRIST WENT TO SEE A PM DOCTOR I REFUSED TO GO ON PAIN MEDS, IAM TELLING YOU THIS BECAUSE I TO WENT THUR AND EXAM FROM HELL AFTER HE HEARD ME SCREAM FOR THE 3RD TIME AND LOOK TO SEE HOW MANY MEDS I HAVE ALLERGYS TO HE SAID THIS IS ALL YOU HAVE LEFT! SO I DIDN'T GO BACK TO HIM BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT PAIN MEDS, WENT TO ANOTHER PM FOR 2ND OPION AFTER 8 CORTISONE SHOT IN MY NECK AND 8 IN MY LOWER BACK AND 1 IN MY SHOULDER THAT DIDNT WORK I GAVE UP AND WITH FOR THE NARC'S AFTER 2 YEARS THE DOCTOR TOLD ME YOU AREN'T DOING ENOUGH TO HELP YOUR SELF SO IAM DISMISSING YOU THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T DO WAS RADIO FREQUENCY NERVE BURNING IN MY LOWER BACK, NOW IAM STUCK TRING TO FIND ANOTHER PM, AND NO LUCK YET BECAUSE THE DOC, PUT IN MY RECORDES THAT I WOULDN'T HELP MYSELF, ITS LIKE THEY HAVE NO CLUE,1 THING ISNT GOING TO FIX THE 6 OTHERS I HAVE LOL SO SORRY FOR WHAT YOU WENT THRU HUGS AND PRAYERS
