I have been trying to get ahold of both of my drs since last Thursday...my right foot is getting worse and they wont call me back. They never answer the phone, I always have to leave a message.

My question is....how would you handle your drs not calling you back??? And you know you are getting worse:(

" Find another Dr. or contact your insurance company and let them know the unavailability of your dr. Or make an appt. to see them, then discuss the problem of both your foot and their unavailability.

Insurance companies don't want to hear that the dr's signed up with them aren't responding to patient's needs. There is a liability problem there that the ins. company doesn't want to deal with, so they'd get on dr's case to change policy or whatever.

Hope this helps... "

" Hurtingx2 is right on track with this advice.
It sounds as if you have terrible doctors and you should be looking for someone new. "

" I would get a new doctor. Since this is not possible immediately, I would continue to call the office, even after hours. I would leave a nasty message with the answering service that it is either: A: an emergency or B: that you have been calling for days without the courtesy of a call back! Good luck. "

" Well I wanted to let you all know that I finally heard from the MA to my Pain dr....I told her all the new problems and she talked with the dr. So I go to the ER last night( this is what my insurance said I could do) and they fill out this long report...give me a perscription for the MRI and send me over to the MRI place....I still have to wait till Wed to see if thats all I need is the perscription:(

I will update you more when i know but I am SOOO changing Pain Drs when i get this done!!!! "

" If it were that bad I'd go to the hospital.. No point putting up with that sort of pain just for the sake of a couple of asshole doctors sitting on their big piles of money. Once it's logged that you were at the hospital, they can't avoid it.

Excuse my cussing. I hope you get some relief soon :) "
