Skywalker,
Get to your regular doctor, an urgent care center, ir to an ER NOW. I am not a doctor or anything like one, but I do know a major anxiety attack when I see it or read about it. Don't play around with this, get yourself to some professional medical today right now. If you can't drive yourself, call a friend, if a friend won't take you ccall an ambulance. You need more here than we can give your here at this point. Get this undercontrol, and we can help you keep it under control. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't wait. Hugs, Neci

I agree with other reply. I will tell you that your story sounded alot like mine a year ago. (I don't smoke though). My health crashed a yr ago out of the blue. Alot of the symptoms you described I had. I too thought I was dying. Went to lots of dr. er rooms ect. (still go initially though just to rule out something you made need to know!). I was given all kinds of anti-depress. ect. I can tell you that I slowly started figuring out things. One big problem is my hormones were completely out of whack!! Big time. I got on natural progesterone cream right away (at your health food places ). Since then I found a dr that listenend to me and gave me saliva test and put me on a "compounding" formula progesterone cream and also some natural estroil cream. That may all sound greek to you right now. I did not see your age but Iam 44 and pre-menopause hit me about 4-5 years ago, severely! My heart was racing too! There is a product (also in health food stores) called "calm", it is a water soluable magnesium drink. Some "racing heart" problems are due to magnesium deficiency. Iam not a dr, Iam just sharing my experience with you and mabey something might help. I thought I was going crazy! I would find a dr that listens and willing to due thorough hormone test. Iam so much better now. It took a long time and sometimes I felt like I took 2 forward and 2 back. I will be praying for you!

Dear Skywalker,
You are NOT going to die from this. You are NOT going to have a heart attack, no matter what your body is telling you and no matter how real it feels. Have a chat with your Doctor, as he or she will help and reassure you. In the meantime while you are waiting, call a helpline. Believe me, I know it is a terrifying experience, but the sooner you get help, the sooner you will feel better. P.S. Cigarettes and Caffiene are the worst thing you could be taking at the moment. I know it's difficult (I am a smoker myself, but I have cut down & now drink de-caffienated coffee.) Do not dispair, this is a condition AS COMMON AS THE COMMON COLD. Many of us here have ended up in E.R. as a result of these terrifying symptoms. Email is OK, but you need to TALK to someone who knows. See the Doc, and in a few days get back to us and let us know how you are doing. You are not alone, Ben

Dear Skywalker
go to a mental health providor imeadiatly or the ER and they will help you and refere you right away, make sure you find a doctor and councilor experienced in anxiety disorder and deppression. You really need on meds and a good councillor to work out what is bothering you and how to show you how to deal with your anxiety and deppression. I have been hospital a couple of times now due to bad deppression and anxiety, it was a blessing in disguise, put me back on the right track. Once your meds kick in then your mind will be clear enough to work with councillor on self help, anxiety, asertiveness, everyday life problems. I know you fel terrible right now but it WILL GET BETTER WITH HELP!!!. Are you going through any kind of stressfull event in your life or are there several?, this can trigger anxiety big time. Please let me know how you are doing!!, i dont go on site everyday but will listen when you need to talk. All The Best Take good care Of Your self!! and be kind to yourself. Claire

I had most of the same symptoms myself and I thought it was all because I was having trouble with a girl at work and my job in general. So I eventually got fired and I figured that all of my problems would go away but they've only gotten worse. Some problems have gone away but I still have these feelings of dread anytime I leave the house. Some mornings I'd wake up and my hands would shaking for no reason. I've talked about this to my doctor and he gave me meds and I don't even take them because I drink alot. I know that's not good either. I've just been trying to deal with it the best I can on my own and force my mind to not worry and try and keep a clear head and a positive outlook. Even when I get these feelings I just force my mind to ignore them and just keep telling myself that I'm alright and it's nothing to worry about.
I haven't had a full blown anxiety attack in months but I do have anxiety alot and until I went to the doctor last it got so bad that I struggled through the work day in fear that I was going to die. My body just didn't feel right. After the doctor assured me that my pulse, heart, lungs, yadda yadda were fine I just programed my mind to believe it. I really need to try out these pills though. I was on Paxil before then stopped taking them on my own. I thought that this was something that would just go away with time but now I'm starting to believe that it's never going to fully go away by itself if ever.
