for the last couple of nights, I have been experiencing horrible feelings. As though some one is watching me.. or as if something horrible is going to happen. Suddenly around 8pm last night.. I just had this horrible feeling like something bad is going to happen...either to me or some one else. I was fine this morning. Now once again I have this fear spreading over me... It is almost paralyzing.. I can not shake the feeling... I just don't know what to do. I almost feel like I am losing my mind. Or maybe I am right.. maybe there is some one watching... maybe something bad is going to happen... I don't know...

I feel silly for writing this I was just hoping maybe sharing this with some one. Or just writing it down would make me feel better....That would be a negative....

" I don't imagine anyone is really watching you. Your mind is playing tricks on you and the more you think about it the more you feel freaked out.
Have you talked to your doctor? are you on any meds for obsessive thoughts? SSRIs are very good for that...the obsessive thoughts and anxiety. "

" Writing things down is very helpful and just knowing there is a place to go to do that is a comfort because a lot of other people have the same feelings and maybe it is new to you but knowing you are not alone is, at least for me, settling. My anxiety pattern started looong before internet was around, I finally found a group for therapy and that was extremely beneficial, then they invented Prozac, so I've been fine for years, but unfortunately, or maybe not, you never do forget how it feels, and it does make a strong impact on your life, or I would not have even looked up this group so many years later. My anxiety was the opposite, mornings, until mid afternoon, then fine at night, only to be the same in the am, and I had no idea what was going on. Lots of work to overcome and not always pleasant, but there is a light. "

" I can totally relate to this. When my anxiety is bad I often find myself having the most horrible disturbing thoughts and feelings of dread and impending doom. Really though it's just the anxiety bluffing your mind. Meditation helped me with this and learning to accept the thoughts as just 'silly thoughts' not real.

If you dwell on them and worry about them they persist. Pay them no mind but don't fight them. Let them come and let them go and understand you are not going crazy, it's just your sensetised mind bluffing you. "

" It's just all those fight or flight chemicals doing their thing. Try to exercise each day and give the chemicals what they want. If you use them for exercise, they'll be used up a little maybe and not be so strong at night. Well, that's what mine do anyhow. Good luck. "

" My mind can do a number on me if I allow it to. That is key "if I allow it to." I am learning to keep it under control finally and it is a lot of work, but it can be done. "
