If you are going to take this be careful. It's not recommended to be taken if you are already on benzos (Xanax, Ativan, etc.). It can damage the liver as well. Please make sure you do real good research before you try this and again, check it against the meds you are currently taken. While it's just an OTC supplement, it can be quite harmful.

Know what else he said? A pharmaceutical company paid for the "liver damage" study. All the participants were advanced alcoholics, but the researchers blamed Kava for the liver damage with no further study on people with healthy livers! Cheers, Fish

I've found kava kava to be a hit and miss.. sometimes it had a horrible effect on me, other times it was anxiety releiving.
