my anxiety isn’t getting any better, it just keeps getting worse. I woke up today so anxious that I was shaking and extremely nauseous, and my mind just keeps going a million miles a minute. I couldn’t even get out of bed. I spent most of yesterday and today in bed. I’m barely eating because of this and in turn it is making me really weak. I’ve also been getting really bad headaches. All day today I slept on and off and felt sick to my stomach. I’m not functioning at all. My boyfriend said today that maybe I do need to go to the hospital for a week, but what is that going to get me. Everything will be the same when I get out.
I only started the Effexor a week and a half ago but it isn’t doing anything. I don’t know what to do. I’m not to see my pdoc for another 2 weeks. I guess he figured the 75mg of Effexor was going to be enough for the anxiety, but now I’m wondering why it can’t be increased. He doesn’t really like that I’m on Remeron and Effexor together, but this is what we are trying before I have to switch to yet another new med. No meds seem to work for me anymore. For many years they did, but now it is just getting worse with each passing day.
I feel so alone and scared. I can’t take this anxiety anymore. I feel like I can’t do anything and I’m not. I have tried the distraction and trying to get stuff done but it doesn’t help. I’m afraid to take too much ativan because my family doctor is so against giving it out, but it does help for awhile to get temporary relief.
I’m starting to really wish I was dead; at least I’d have some relief from this constant anxiety.

" Maybe your boyfriend is right. A week in the hospital, wouldn't be all bad. They could figure out what meds you should be on. And get your sleep and diet back on track. "

" I'm sorry things are so hard right now. I have anxiety also and know how terrible it can be. I agree with Wendy, it may help to be in the hospital a bit to get the meds in order. You don't have anything to lose really by going into the hospital right? "

" I don't see how they can help find the right meds while in the hospital. that is all we've been doing since December is trying to find the right meds.
I'm afraid to go to the hospital. But I'm afraid what this is doing to my kids with a lifeless mother. "

" I think your boyfriend is right too. Sounds like you need to get away from things for awhile. But I also understand when you say things will be the same when you get out. But you may feel more relaxed and a little less anxious. I've been feeling the same way lately so I really know how you feel and I don't have a boyfriend there for me. "
