I was recently forced to quit my job due to the level of stress and my inability to cope. I was having panic attacks on a nightly basis, staying up as late as I could at night to avoid the inevitable panic attacks, and dry-heaving each morning before work.

My therapist told me to quit my job and take a few weeks to heal. After doing so, he has now told me I can start looking for part-time work...as an experiment to see if I am able to work.

I have gone from a good income (but basically living paycheck-to-paycheck)...to no income...and will have little income, after finding something part-time. I am now going to have to pay for medical insurance, which is going to take a good chunk of change each month from my part-time pay.

Has anyone else ever dealt with this? I don't know which is worse...having a sucky, stressful job that paid the bills and provided free medical insurance, or geting rid of the sucky job and stressing over how I am going to pay my bills.

" Don't worry about the double post. It happens sometimes. As for your situation, I have advice really because I haven't been through that, however, I have often had days when I wanted to quit my job due to anxiety, but fear of having no income prevented me from doing so. I'm not sure where you're from but check around to see if there's some kind of health/insurance program for people with a low income. I know here in MA we have such programs (I should know, I'm on one!) I hope others reply to this who can give you better guidance and input. Good Luck! "

" Thanks for the input...I appreciate it.

Even the simplest things are hurdles now... Money doesn't buy happiness, I know this to be true. But having enough to pay the bills certainly makes life a lot brighter.

MyLady...5 kids, really? You deserve a MEDAL. I can barely keep up with one!! "
