" I really have no suggestions to give other then trying to entertain him with your humour or reading him some fun stories or playing with the dinosaurs ya know. Make sure to make him feel trusting towards you, he prolly doesn't understand much of what's going on and the necessity of it. I feel your pain tho, really good luck and best wishes.

Go ahead try to make him laugh thru it and if he just wants to pout then tell him you understand and shower him with love and kisses, then try to get back to anything fun. "

" I have a son with cerebal palsy, seizures, and autism. He was born with hydrocephalus. A brain bleed during pregnancy. I have a hard time getting him to take medications and he takes alot of them! I was scared he was going to dehydrate or go into seizures. I would try putting meds into his foods or liquids but he figured out what I was doing and stopped taking anything from me for a week. I Hope you find a way, I finally had to force his meds for his wellbeing. made me cry. Our children are our lives. Bless you and your little one.. "

" thanks for your replies...i used a lot of love, and perhaps a little bribery (new games for the psp...one at a time if he does what he needs to...BUT only for now).
we also explained that taking meds would make his owies go away and keep him from going back.
he feels MUCH better today, and i think what we told him registered now that he feels decent.
best wishes to both of you...extra special thoughts for you, MyLady1971. "
