Has anyone every done an inpatient program at a facility and did it help? I can't get control of my anxiety and my meds are not working well! I have contacted my Dr and they keep adjusting little by little but nothing is working. Please advise

" i have done inpatient treatments. they work wonders. the drs. can see you as you really are, and get your meds adjusted as needed. some stays are short like a week, others can be three weeks. tell you dr. you want inpatient treatment, and why.

God bless you and good luck "

" I just got out of an inpatient stay and it did me wonders. In the past, my stay was only 5 days but this time it was 13. The extra time was what I needed. If you decide to go (which it sounds like you should) don't rush things when you're there. The doctor and you will both know when it's time to leave. And about all, be honest with everyone about how you're feeling. It's the only way to get full benefit from the program. "

" I was inpatient for a week. I can't say that the group therapy helped, or even the individual therapy. But, they were able to evaluate me for 5 days and 4 nights and got my meds adjusted. And, I felt safe there...which was a nice break. "

" I have to say, it does not help for me anyway, i want to leave my anxieties behind, not draw more attention to them and focus on them while sitting on the couch....it just seemed to realy make things worse, and then sets in the depression. The xanax has worked well for me..but i fear now is starting to become another problem "
