just wondering if anyone else gets this
im continuously talking to myself in my head, all the time,(except when im talking to others of course lol) if im not doing anything really really active, my brain is always talking and having conversations, either with myself, other people, or im constanly analysing every single detail of my life in my head, i find it hard to switch my brain off and it really bugs me but i been like this for yrs and sometimes it brings on the anxiety or panic as my brain overloads and crashes
Im just interested to know if this is 'normal thinking ' or not ? its like im rehearsing every single conversation with whomever im thinking of at the time
Does anyone else get like this ?

" I have the same problem, and I dont think it is normal, because I do it for so long I start getting hot and tingly and feel like I'm going to pass out, and I get a knot in my stomach so bad! My doctor said I have anxiety attacks, and I dont really know when they started, but I hate it! I would rather die than to ever have another one "

" What is normal or not normal is a difficult question. I don't think you should worry about it. My question is: what is the content of the monologues or dialogues. Ask yourself how they influence your mood.
I wish pleasant thoughts to you. "

" Yes, I still get this but had it much worse when I was very ill with panic and anxiety. It is normal for people with this disorder and probably for many people without it too. "

" I am constantly talking to myself! I have been dealing with this for as long as I can remember. My best advice is that when it becomes too much for me and gets me down I have learned to tell myself and make myself believe that i'm not overanalyzing life and it helps give me a sense of peace but it takes time and patients to learn how to train and make your brain think differently..it is actually pretty hard but can be done. " I'm constantly holding dialogs and having arguments with myself (usually in my head, but if I'm alone I sometimes talk out loud). It gets really annoying. Sometimes I just have to tell myself to shut up... Doesn't work, though. I just keep right on talking... "

" my counsellor said it was perfectly normal, but said if it causes me a problem as in, causes my mood to change b/c of what im thinking or gives me anxiety, she has suggested i talk out loud to myself, especially if i am alone as its better to get it out of 'your being' rather than whirling around in side your head, she said either talk, write it down or draw !! " Yup, you're definitely not alone. My brain never stops, except when I sleep. Even with medication, my brain still goes if I don't have something to keep me busy. "

" Not only do I do alot of inner dialogue, sometimes I start doing that out loud around the house. I think we do that, number one because people here are right,it is normal. Also, with anxiety sufferers we tend to rehearse things before we say them and also try and work things out in our heads before hand. Speaking for myself, my anxiety keeps me from just relying calmly on what ever comes out of my mouth on its own and spontaneously. For me its sometimes a lack of confidence in what I'm going to do or say on my own.

I find also, that when my anxiety is to much, my mind starts conjuring up scenerio's like accidents or falls or something bad that might possible happen. When I start that, then I have to straighten myself around and stop those thoughts. You're certainly not alone tho.
