just wondering if anyone else gets this
im continuously talking to myself in my head, all the time,(except when im talking to others of course lol) if im not doing anything really really active, my brain is always talking and having conversations, either with myself, other people, or im constanly analysing every single detail of my life in my head, i find it hard to switch my brain off and it really bugs me but i been like this for yrs and sometimes it brings on the anxiety or panic as my brain overloads and crashes
Im just interested to know if this is 'normal thinking ' or not ? its like im rehearsing every single conversation with whomever im thinking of at the time
Does anyone else get like this ?

" I would say it's "normal" thinking. Don't be worried about it. If you really think about it, our brains are the things that understand us most so having dialogue with them makes perfect sense. You're not the only one who does this, even if no one else admits it!!! Don't worry dear, it doesn't make you "crazy". Keep up the dialogue, it probably helps you sort out a lot of things!!! Good luck! "

" I have the same problem. Even when I'm intimate with my b/f sometimes my brain just keeps going and I try really hard to focus on whatever else I'm doing to make my brain stop but it usually doesn't work. I don't know what to do about it, but I do know that you are not alone. "

" I Read something a while ago that you are meant to let thoughts drift through your head and to just accept them takes away the tension coz your not fighting it , but personally theres some thoughts i dont want to accept as i usually feel the way i think if i do alot of negative thinking i start feeling negative etc. its really annoying "

" Yeah, i get it too, it can be very distracting. I have always had it. I consider it as annoying as when semi-consciously you sing along to a song playing in the background. "

" Yes, I agree it's normal. It sounds like you have a very good memory. I think that you can learn to have some control over content and speed, You might try repeating a positive memorized affirmation or poem or something, or maybe some structured meditation. "

" Yeppers, I do the same thing and I even talk out loud that there are times a family member will hear me and think that I am talking to them. Really I am having a "Nice" conversation with myself and my thoughts.... "
