Getting shaky...

I find that later at night I get all shaky.. .I'm not sure if its my meds or what the heck is up, but I just get these involuntary shakes. I know I'm not hungry or nething... I also find that sometimes I get these waves of panick,... like something bad is about to happen, and I can't stop it... its a horrible feeling in the pit of your stomach. Is this what other people feel with regards to anxiety?.. I just get all nervous and scared and fearful of everything, my life almost seems to be falling apart around me, and I start to think of all the things that are wrong in my life, and I fear being alone, and having nobody and all these things... all of which are possible because I don't see my friends...

" I know that sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with shakes bad. I usually find if I throw on a ton of clothes and blankets that it calms down. The panic still ensues though, but once I get warmer the panic and shakes get better. It sounds like you are having anxiety, and I think worrying about the things you are feeling is causing panic attacks. Quite normal, though frustrating. Please know you aren't alone. Try some deep breathing, maybe sip on some calming tea, etc. If you aren't already taking B-complex vitamins, please start. "

" Are you eating too much sugar or caffeine during the day? Sugars can be anything from sweets to carbs like pasta. I've noticed since I've cut them down I don't get too shakey anymore. I try to eat an egg before bed and when I get up because my nutrionist told me that the egg has a long lasting protein that helps stabilize your blood sugar. Just a thought. I hope you feel better soon... hang in there! "

" Sometimes, if I am having a particularly bad day, I dread night for most of the same reasons and quite a few I can't explain. I consider it anxiety and find a way to get to sleep be it chamomile tea or a non-habit-inducing sleep aid. By the next morning it seems to be gone. The more nights I get through, it eventually goes away.

Generally, I am just trying to say to de-stress before you end up by yourself at night, because it hits you harder then. "

" All of my anxiety symptoms are much worse at night. Sometimes I shake and sometimes I'm tapping my feet or rubbing my hands on my thighs or rubbing my feet together. I've read that a lot of people with anxiety notice a definite increase in symptoms at night. Like asleepytrance I suggest chamomile tea or something like it. Celestial Seasonings ( I think?) makes a tea called "Sleepytime" tea that has helped me calm down a bit many nights.

Maybe you could try taking a bath or shower when you feel your symptoms heightening, warm water is always relaxing!

You sound like me, how come you don't see your friends? "
