Yes, and I suggest you look it up under yoga, where they can explain things better. And it does work. Belly breathing is what I practice, mostly. Breathe in slowly to the count of 4, do it with your belly or abdomen, not your chest...you will see your belly or abdomen go out as you breathe in. Hold it for a count of 4, then slowly exhale to a count of 4. So it's 4, 4, 4. Then keep repeating until you feel yourself relaxing. You can do this in a car (especially at red lights), or anywhere. I find myself doing it while standing in lines at a store. There is also nostril breathing, which has a fancy yoga name, and it would be better for you to try and look it up...too hard to describe. These really do help, so it's worth trying.
