I know you dont want to hear this but without medication the only thing that helps me is distraction unless it is too far gone. Then I just ride it out.

have you tried meditation? I find that it helps me and I am not on any meds (for the time being) I meditate at least 20 mins every morning, seems to keep me in control. I think it help me "ride out" the attack I had last wensday.

I have a CD of calming music like Norah Jones, that song Bubbly and stuff like that. It helps me relax. I know of someone else who listens to this kind of music for 20 minutes everyday.

The meditation thing is great advice. Concentrate on your breathing, focus on a color, relax......There are CD at Barnes and Noble that really help-worth the investment. Anxiety sucks

I wish I knew, I think what can help just a little is wearing a ring or something on your finger and when you get nervous just twirl it around and play with it. When your hands are moving it makes easier to think
