Side effects of Lexapro?

I have been on Lexapro for about 20 months now. I was wondering if anyone else taking lexapro feels tired. I also have hypothyroidism and i'm trying to work out if I am still feeling tired as a result of the hypothyroidism, even though my levels now are apparently good, or if it is the lexapro making me tired. Any thoughts?

" I am currently on lexapro and have not noticed feeling more tired than normal. If I'm not mistaken it is a possible side effect, though. "

" I do seem to get tired with my lexapro so I take it at night. I have to take it about an hour before bedtime or I have a harder time getting up. "

" Lexapro caused me to be a little drowsy being that it is an anti-anxiety medication. I second taking it at night, this did help what I called my "day tired". "

" I know I'm kind of late replying to this but I wanted you to know that I am tired as well taking Lexapro. I LOVE IT but I have to sleep 9-10 hours a day to feel rested and I never feel like doing much of anything when I get home. I've become really lethargic and have to put forth a lot of effort to get simple chores done. If I had it my way I'd fall asleep on the couch when I got home every day. ;)

But I am scared to try any other meds, it seems like such a little side-effect to deal with.... :( "

" I actually found the opposite. Terrible insomnia, didn't sleep for a week...well, maybe an hour per night. Had to come off of it due to that and loss of apetite totally. "
