I feel like crap. I am normally very upbeat,but it seems that lately, I have the blues. I hate the way I look.I don't feel pretty anymore.I look in the mirror and see an old woman.I haven't had a period for a year,so I guess it is official,I'm old.Yipee!! I have this "pouch" that looks like I could carry a baby kangaroo in it,and no matter what I do it is always there. My mother had one and her mother before her.My husband is an epileptic,and he had a seizure 2 weeks ago. I guess that's when this depression started.I KNOW that I am on my pitty-pot,I just need some help to get off of it.

Hey,
you are not alone, it's hard waking up one day and realizing we aren't twenty anymore. Even though inside I think we all feel young. To cheer yourself up, why not change your hair, buy some new clothes. My mother had the pouch, I don't have that but there are other changes in my body I'm not to happy about. I hope the blues pass. Sorry to hear you are going through such a rough time.
Focus on positive thinking (I know it's hard) get a good inspirational book and also read up on your hormones and what they can do to your emotional state (since you said you weren't having periods anymore) Hormones can play a HUGE part with anxiety, etc... Also, I find that working out has helped me tremendously, also pampering myself a bit (getting massages, doing REIKI-THAT was amazing) doing things to make me love myself again. You'll get there, just make yourself be motivated, otherwise, it'll get you way down. Take care and hope you feel better very soon :)
