I want to wish you all a safe and happy holiday weekend. I won't be online during the weekend. My son is having computer issues and trying to get those fixed as well. Good morning to all. Just want to let you all know that my son's appt. @ the Hemotologist went well. He said that while his red blood cell count is only slightly elevated he didn't see anything we need to be concerned about as far as his blood goes. Today is my son's appt. with the Hemotologist. I'll be leaving work earlier and will let you all know how it went tomorrow. Of course I didn't sleep well last night. It was hot and of course I've been worried. I just hope and pray today goes well. Keep us in your prayers.

I am working at a middle school as an instructional assistant for a self=contained autism class. I have one nonverbal student, one limited verbal, and one who signs. I'm still waiting to hear about the 2nd set of bloodwork they ran on my son. I hope to hear something today. He is eating better and he's been a lot more relaxed, happy and talkative. We've been getting along well.

My son & I had to go back to Dr's. yesterday morning for the follow-up on his bloodwork. They said his abdominal u/s showed a borderline enlarged liver & slightly enlarged spleen. His bloodwork showed slightly elevated bilirubin levels & his red blood cells being a little higher than normal. Seems like forever since I sat down to write in this.
Work is going fine, I just did a weekend in bloodbank. It was sooooooo slow on Sat I was looking for things to do.Then on Sunday I got some work but it came in all at one time. I got it done but a few at a time would have been nicer.
I am still in training but have been checked off in two areas so I can pull overtime in those spots.

My son's Dr's. appt. went well, however, we don't know anything yet. During the Dr's. exam she said that it may be a peptic ulcer. She did say his liver seemed slightly enlarged & his eyes were slightly jaundiced. They ran bloodwork, and he had a pelvic/abdominal ultrasound. I'm pretty happy with the progress my son has made the last 2 days. He told me last night that he hasn't been feeling well. He's had stomach problems for awhile now. Thanks for your support everyone. I actually had a good evening last night. My son was in a good mood, we talked, laughed and he actually sat down with me and ate some dinner. We went to the grocery store and got a couple scratchers/lottery tix since he wanted to go and picked up some ice cream. I was happy with the attitude change, hopefully it'll keep up. I'd like to request that you continue to pray for me and my son. I'm worried about him not eating very much. He can't afford to lose weight and he's been complaining of heartburn/stomach problems.
