Would anyone be up to helping me become more positive? I am struggling with not focusing on my feelings...because I have been so wrapped up in my own emotions since becoming sober I have become very depressed, emotional, needy and selfish.....I need a Sponsor or something.....anyone willing to help? If so please msg me with a lil about you and how you got out of your depression/overwhelming feelings or perhaps a plan in how to become content......looking for a long term friend/advisor in the process.

grace, make sure that if you get an advisor/sponsor it be of the same sex or a gay man. It can get to complicated imo otherwise. I see you are cute and wanting help, predators out there, be careful!
I will send a message to you if you would like on some things that may be helpful to read, things that are inspirational. You know, not all the time are we meant to be content, perhaps you are feeling this way in order for your spiritual growth to begin? We usually dont change until it we have to, look at this as an opportunity to learn and grow, however discomforting it may be.

a year sober you should be experencing, some of the joys of recovery,for me it was helping others that freed me from the bondage of self.There are so manny ways to help other people and the amazing thing about it is that you end up helping yourself the most.The most expensive posession a person can own is a closed mind,If you open you mind you will find answers and solutions to you life problems.
